An agentic AI hackathon is a build competition where the thing you ship is an AI agent — software that plans a sequence of steps, calls real tools or APIs, keeps state between steps and acts on its own, rather than answering a single prompt. AI coding assistants are allowed too. Judges care about agentic depth: does the system plan, use tools, hold memory and recover from failure?
How teams are scored
Four criteria decide AgentHack 2026: agentic depth, execution, impact and originality, and demo clarity. Each team presents for 3 minutes — a 1-minute live demo, a 1-minute pitch and a 1-minute Q&A. The entries that win are the ones where the agent visibly does the work on stage instead of being described.
