What an agentic AI course should teach

Agentic AI is AI that pursues a goal instead of answering one prompt: it plans, calls tools, retrieves information, remembers context and checks its own work. (Full explanation.) A course that deserves the name should get you building that loop — not just writing prompts or watching demos. Before you pay for any agentic AI course, check that it covers:

  1. How agents work — the LLM, tools, memory and the loop, ideally written by hand once before using a framework.
  2. Tool calling — letting the model call your functions and APIs safely.
  3. RAG and vector databases — grounding answers in your own documents.
  4. A real agent framework — LangGraph, LangChain or similar, with state, branching and retries.
  5. MCP — the Model Context Protocol that connects agents to tools and data across apps.
  6. Guardrails and security — prompt injection, data leaks, cost limits and human approval.
  7. Evaluation — testing agents so a change does not quietly break them.
  8. Deployment — an agent on a public URL that real users can reach.

AI Season covers all eight — evaluation is taught inside the RAG module (judging retrieval quality) rather than as a separate session — and every module ends in a project that runs.

Who this agentic AI course is for

  • University students in CS, AI, SE or data science who want a portfolio of working agents before graduating.
  • Developers who can code but have not yet shipped an LLM or agent project.
  • Beginners with basic Python — no machine-learning background or GPU needed; agents run on hosted model APIs.
  • Hindi and Urdu speakers who learn faster when hard ideas are explained in the language they think in.

Live course vs self-paced agentic AI courses

Free self-paced courses from Hugging Face, Microsoft, DeepLearning.AI and others are excellent references, and we recommend them. What a live cohort adds is structure and feedback: a fixed schedule, an instructor who answers your questions in class, tests that show what you actually understood, and classmates working on the same projects. Compare the options honestly in Best AI agents courses.
